Getting children involved with preparing their own food is a great way to get them interested in cooking and trying different tastes and textures. An easy way to introduce them to cooking is to get hold of some un-iced, sponge cupcakes (shop-bought are fine or make your own if you have time!). Then, make up some icing (icing sugar mixed with a few drops of water or lemon juice). Prepare some small bowls of decorations (raisins, chocolate drops, cherries, grapes) and get creative! Show the little ones how to put the icing on the cake and then add their own decorations! Great fun and delicious to eat!
