Building confidence in your children plays an important part of early development. Babies and toddlers are constantly experiencing new situations and they are continually learning through trial and error. Praise them when they do things right, and don't be tempted to overreact when they get it wrong. Children need praise and encouragement to help them in their quest to understand the world. Reassure your children when they don't succeed and encourage them to try again.
